Services for Ruth E. “Perry” Grisham will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Salado Church of Christ beginning at 1:30 PM with Pastor Joseph Keyes officiating. Burial will be private.
Perry Grisham passed into eternal life on September 6, 2012.
Perry was born November 7, 1921 in Potosi, Wisconsin. She was the youngest of nine children of Jim and Minnie Perrin and is the last remaining survivor of the family.
She went to Business School in Wisconsin and worked as an accountant for the IRS.
Perry married Woodie Grisham on November 7, 1942 and spent the next several years living in various parts of the world, including Japan, Germany, and Pakistan.
Perry loved antiques. The Grishams have resided in Salado over the past 30 years. Her hobbies included refurbishing antiques and gardening.
An avid reader, Perry donated much of her time to the development of the Salado Public Library.
She was also active in and deeply loved by her church family at the Salado Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, her daughter, Pam Grisham of Hawaii and Tim Grisham of Austin. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
