Visitation and celebration for Rebecca Lynn Guthrie, 31 of Georgetown will be from 2PM to 6PM on November 16, 2012 for family and friends at Broecker Funeral Home, Salado.

Rebecca Lynn (Becky) was born in Georgetown, September 25, 1981 to Donnie and Charlotte Kilpatrick Guthrie. Charlotte is a principle in Springhouse Emporium in Salado.

Becky grew up playing sports. She was involved in softball, volleyball and basketball. She even played Little League Baseball with the boys one year. Becky she was on the high school volleyball team, softball team and was state champion in free throw contest sponsored by the Elks Lodge of Texas.

Becky attended Navarro Jr. College and Temple College on a softball scholarship. While there, she developed a new passion as she discovered a gift from God – a beautiful singing voice. She also became interested in songwriting and playing the guitar. Her dream was to go to Nashville and be a songwriter. She loved Karaoke and was a KJ for several years. She made many wonderful friends and truly enjoyed this part of her life.

Becky loved watching and attending sporting events. She was a super fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Texas Rangers.

Her daily job was at Walmart in Georgetown where she was a customer service manager. Her friends and co-workers there were more like family and the caring and support they have always given her has been amazing and so appreciated. They sponsored many fundraisers and their unconditional love during her fight with cancer continues still.

A beautiful young woman with the smile of an angel, she will be so missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Jaden Guthrie-Williams and loving partner, Joseph Williams, her mother and father, brother Ryan and wife Deborah; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and bonus grandmother, Anne Clark.
