Raymond George Pastie, of Salado, passed away on April 7, 2013. He was born on February 22, 1934 to Frank and Lena Pastie of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Ray graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School in 1952. He served in the Navy as an electrician from 1953-1957.
Ray began his career in 1960 and became a pioneer in the cable television industry, which took him all over the country. He met his true love, Judy Marriott, in Colorado Springs and they were married. Ray was an avid golfer who recorded 4 hole-in-ones, 3 at Mill Creek Country Club in Salado.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife in 2006. He is survived by three daughters, Melody Colasuonno (Bob) of Henderson, NV, Pam Halbrooks (Michael) of McKinney, TX and Cherie Locke (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Luke, Chelsea, Madeline and Trevor, a sister Shirley Poling, and a brother, Paul Pastie, of Massachusetts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at Salado United Methodist Church on April 12, 2013 at 10am with a visitation for 1 hour. Service will begin at 11:00am officiated by Billy Johnson. There will be a celebration of Ray's life following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Judes Children's Hospital or Hospice are appreciated.
