Priscilla Anne Beadle, age 73, died Friday evening, January 9, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, Texas. Priscilla was born in Clarksville, Texas to Pat Clark Beadle and Lela May (Wooley) Beadle. Priscilla graduated from Clarksville High School in 1959. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton and obtained a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with honors in 1963. It was said that she was a “closet lawyer” with a strength for legal issues related to student life, and she worked to develop the student code of conduct and a department of judicial affairs for student discipline. Priscilla later moved to the office of the provost and served the university as Vice Provost. For many years, she served on the board of directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Pat Forrest Beadle. She is survived by her brother, Daniel James Beadle; niece Leslie Garner and husband David; nephew, Forrest Beadle and wife Jill; niece Laura Brown and husband Mark; much loved grandnieces Carly and Ellie Garner; Abby and Molly Beadle; Taylor Brown and her treasured grandnephew Tanner Brown.
