Patricia H. Ashe Obituary

Patricia Hope Hagaman Ashe, 99, died peacefully on May 4, 2019 at her home in Salado, Texas. Born on May 18, 1919 in Madelia, Minnesota to Gustav Wennemark and Susan  Hagaman Wennemark, Pat grew up in Rochester, Minnesota with her aunt and uncle, Dr. Edwin Alexander Hagaman and Marjorie Hansen Hagaman.

 

Musically gifted and talented, Pat played violin and piano from early youth through her Wheaton College years. At Wheaton she met her future husband of sixty-six years, Dr. William McLellan Ashe. Pat, Bill and their children, Sue, Kay, Billy and Sibby knew both Dallas and Salado as home. Wherever she lived, Pat’s long life was filled with love of God, family, friends and music.

 

Preceded in death by her parents, aunt, uncle, sister Eleanor Wennemark Roberts, husband, and daughters Sibby Ashe Slaton and Kay Ashe Wood, Pat’s survivors include: her daughter, Sue Ashe Wetsel of Santa Fe, NM; son, William McLellan Ashe, Jr. of Dallas; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 

The Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church
