Services for Melba Glover Kattner will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church of Salado on at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Carl Thompson officiating. A visitation will precede the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. June 15, 2015 at the Perkins Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma. Melba died at her home on June 11, 2015 and was 89 years old. She was born in Montague County, Texas on August 10, 1925. Melba has been a long-time resident of Salado and loved the community and its people. She was involved in many community activities. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and served in many capacities for this organization. Melba was employed with Grace Jones for over 20 years and was known for her elegant gift bows. Most of all, Melba thoroughly enjoyed being around people, and her church. Melba was preceded in death by her parents; first husband of 38 years Lawrence J. Glover Jr.; and second husband of 27 years Milton Kattner Sr. She is survived by sister Opal Allread and husband Jim; son Eric Glover and wife Jan; daughter Mitzi Gibson and husband Jim; son Brandt Glover and wife Nancy; daughter Heidi Kogut and husband Jeff and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepchildren Norma Kattner O'Neal; Milton Kattner Jr; the late David Kattner and families. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Salado P.O. Box 865 Salado Tx. 76571. Broecker Funeral Home of Salado is in charge of arrangements.
