Mary Rose Geiger Obituary

Mary Rose Geiger, age 84, of Salado, Texas, was called to her eternal home on February 24,
2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Lenz, Texas, and grew up in Fashing,
Texas. Mary was a member of the 1958 graduating class of Karnes City High School. She was
the beloved wife of Fred Geiger, with whom she shared 67 blessed years of marriage.
Mary was a devoted mother to her children Steve (Wife: Susan), Kathryn (Husband: Brian), and
Laura (Husband: Kevin), and a cherished grandmother to Sarah (Husband: Rob), Nicholas
(Wife: Alyssa), Patrick, Kelsey, and Joseph. She was also a proud step-grandmother of four and
great-grandmother of five, each of whom brought her great joy.
Mary’s deep and abiding Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She lived her faith with
devotion and grace, finding strength in prayer, the sacraments, and her strong relationship with
God. Her faith was evident in everything she did, especially in the love and care she showed her
family. Mary was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Salado, where she found
comfort and community.
She is survived by her two sisters, Helen (Husband: Conrad) and Patti (Husband: Gene), and
was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence (Wife: Rhonda), and her parents (Alfons and
Mary Ella Henke). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary’s life was marked by her graciousness, kindness, and generosity of spirit. She approached
every day with humility, always thinking of others before herself. She was known for her gentle
nature, quiet strength, and the warmth she radiated to those around her. Her passions for
quilting and gardening reflected this same grace and care, as she nurtured beauty and love in
everything she touched.
Mary’s family was her greatest treasure and she will be forever remembered for her unwavering
faith, her gracious heart, and her nurturing presence.
