She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California, in 1954 and from Fresno Junior College in 1956 before marrying Carl P. Hill of Fullerton, California, who preceded her in death. Walter George Lang passed away on March 19, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, from a heart attack. He was 83 years old.
