Margie Howerton

Graveside services for Margie Howerton will be on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 10:00am at Salado Historic Cemetery with Frank Wallace, officiating.
Margie died on September 10 in a Waco nursing home. She was born on February 3, 1939 in Salado, TX to Blanche Levon and Ernest Talmadge Townsend. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her never-ending smile, her ease of conversation, and her beautiful singing voice, will never be forgotten. The song is ended but we are blessed by the melody and memories that live on….
She will be forever remembered by her children: Rhonda (Calvin) Webb of Mansfield and Kathy Howerton of Waco; grandchildren: Cal (April), Kristen (Mark), Jennifer, Trent (Katelyn); great-grandchildren: Landon, Reece, Cohen, Brooks, Henry, Hannah, Owen, Reid, Harrison, and Landry; her dear brother, Lane (Carolyn) and, numerous other family members and friends. She was a dedicated wife to Bob Howerton and fortunate to love and be a part of his children’s lives, Russ (Carolyn) and Diane and his grandchildren: Sean, Aaron, Keith, Sam and Hilary.
Margie was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Blanche Townsend; husband, Bob Howerton, and sister, Lynda Brown.
