Margaret Dianne Yeoman Obituary

Margaret Dianne (Wills) Yeoman, 77, of Salado, Texas, passed away on January 4th, 2026. Margaret was born May 16, 1948 in Austin, Texas to Edwin and Margaret Katherine Wills. She and her family moved frequently growing up, but in the fall of 1962 they moved to Round Rock, Texas where she entered Round Rock High School and met Chet Yeoman, who would become the love of her life. The two soon began dating, and a few years later, they married on May 15, 1965. Margaret worked as a homemaker raising four boys with Chet on a small rural farm near Taylor, Texas. In 1978 she began selling Avon, and in 1986, she began serving as a substitute teacher in the Taylor Independent School District. By 1988, she started working full time at Northside Elementary in Taylor as a teacher's aide with early childhood before transferring to Taylor's Pasemann Elementary ten years later as a librarian's aide. She was dearly loved by students, teachers and staff during her time at TISD. Her smile brightened every day and her warm, caring heart left a trail of kindness and compassion in the hearts of her students and throughout the school community. She retired in May of 2000 following a brain tumor diagnosis which changed the trajectory of her life. In 2003, after nearly thirty years of farm life, she and her husband moved away and settled in the town of Salado, Texas where she made many dear friends among members of her new community. Though she dealt with a series of health related issues over the years, her faith in Christ never wavered. Her favorite Bible verse was Joshua 1:9 which was evidenced by how she lived her life in showing strength and courage in the face of challenge while always leaning on her faith in Jesus Christ through prayer and daily reading of scripture. Over the years, Margaret's favorite pastimes were cross stitching, fishing, playing with her dogs, and watching Dallas Cowboys football games on Sunday afternoons. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, William Chet Yeoman; sons Dudley Yeoman, Stacy Yeoman (Jovilyn), Kevin Yeoman (Yvonne), and Derrick Yeoman (Janice); grandchildren Autumn, Christian, and Josef Yeoman; a great grandchild Roman Atkinson; sisters Linda West and Peggy Hammond; brother Chester Wills; niece Vicky Daniels and nephew Leslie Rebold. She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Margaret Katherine Wills and brother Larry Oringderff.
