Lucien Thomas Pfeiffer Jr.

Lucien Thomas Pfeiffer Jr., age 86, of Nancy, Kentucky, died on April 1, 2024, in Florence, Texas after a short period of declining health.

Tom was born on April 15, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Lucien T. and Bess (Hamilton) Pfeiffer. On September 10, 1966, he married the love of his life, Donna Sue Schuster and together they shared 57 wonderful years together. She survives him in Florence, Texas.

Also surviving him are his children: Lisa (Thomas) McElhaney of Florence, TX, Tony (Shonda) Pfeiffer of Bullard, TX, and Steven (Andrea) Pfeiffer of Greenville, TX. His nine grandchildren: Dillon (Carrie) Moorman of Killeen, TX, Danielle Moorman-Bocanegra of Lampasas, TX, Aaron (Niya) Moorman of Florence, TX, Austin (Stephanie) Pfeiffer of Hiram, GA, Ethan (Kendall) Pfeiffer of Greenville, TX, Elizabeth Pfeiffer of Lima, OH, Cheyenne (Alyssa) Pfeiffer of Tyler, TX, Amy (Doug) Raven of Seguin, TX and Alexis Pfeiffer of Greenville, TX. Thirteen Great-Grandchildren: McKenna, Shane, and Luke Moorman of Killeen, TX, Miyley Lockhart, Riggin and Kashley Bocanegra of Lampasas, TX, Stetson Litton, Landon and Asher Moorman of Florence, TX, Shelby and Everleigh Raven of Seguin, TX, Ezekiel Pfeiffer of Hiram, GA and Raelynn Pfeiffer of Greenville, TX. Brothers and Sisters in-law: Woodrow (Cindy) Schuster of Union, KY. And John (Karen) Schuster of Cincinnati, OH. Nieces: Sarah Schuster, Mary Catherine Schuster of Cincinnati, OH, Jennifer (Mick Zimmermann) Spitzmesser, Heather Spitzmesser Ligon of Indianapolis, IN. Nephew John Schuster, Jr (Katie) Schuster of Cincinnati, OH. His special – extended family Edie and late William VanDerVelde of Amelia, OH, Danielle (Brandon) Thompson of Bardstown, KY, and William VanDerVelde of Cincinnati, OH, and his Great-nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Tom is proceeded in death by his son, Jeffrey Allen; sister, Carolyn Pfeiffer Spitzmesser Rolfs; brother in-law, David Schuster, and his father and mother in-law, Woodrow and Mary Henderson Schuster.

Tom was a 1955 graduate of Milford High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Mersman Tables in Celina, Ohio before relocating to Prattville, Alabama and eventually retiring from American Desk in Temple, Texas. After retiring he worked part-time driving a school bus for Belton ISD in Belton, Texas. Later settling down in the family farm and homestead in Nancy, Kentucky.

Tom had a passion for sports and racing of all types and was a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed camping and trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama. He especially enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play in their various sporting events. He loved being in his garage, working on his many projects, doing yardwork and wintering in Texas.

Graveside memorial services will be held on April 13, 2024, at 2:00pm at Norris Cemetery located on Sievers Road in Nancy, Ky. with Father Carlos Martinez officiating. A reception and meal will follow the service and will be held at 400 Sievers Road, Nancy, Ky 42544.

In lieu of flowers, donations can take the form of contributions to the Thomas Pfeiffer Memorial Fund in c/o of Citizens Bank, Hwy 80, Nancy, KY.
