Services for Lillie Mae Berg, 93, of Salado, formerly of El Paso, Texas will be private.


Lillie died April 11, 2020 at Indian Oaks Senior Living Center in Harker Heights, Texas.


She was born August 1, 1926 to William Clint Dale and Deedie Maddox in Covington County, Alabama.


She married Cecil Williams on December 7, 1945.  They had a daughter, Celia Williams.  


After Cecil died, Lillie married MSGT James Berg on August 8, 1953 and they had a son, Donald Berg.


Lillie traveled with James during his career in the Army, serving in Orleans, France for 3 years and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, as well as, Fort Bliss.   While in El Paso, she worked as a nurse for 15 years and then spent 20 years as a visiting nurse.

 

Survivors include: daughter, Celia and husband Les Bray of Salado; son, Don Berg of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandchildren: Jennifer Bray of Castle Rock, CO., and Brian Bray of Leander, TX.


Lillie will be interred at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with her husband James.
