Jose was born on February 15, 1991 to Juan Castillo and Lidia Zapata.  Jose lived in Allende Coahuila Mexico until he was 11 years old. In 2002 his family moved to Salado, Texas where his dad was working. Jose attended Salado ISD and was a 2009 graduate of Salado High School. He loved sports; he played football, soccer, baseball and basketball. On the weekends, you could find him supporting his favorite soccer team, Club Santos, if they were playing.

Jose never met a stranger. He was the kindest person that would give you the shirt off his back.

Jose worked in landscaping, as well as an Electrician for Bloomers Trailers here in Salado.

On March 12, 2020 he passed away of natural causes. He leaves behind his father, Juan Castillo, mother Lidia Zapata and 2 younger brothers, Juan and Edgar Castillo, whom he adored.  Family was everything to Jose.

Survivors also include his grandparents Tomas Castillo, Rosa Rivas and Bertha Gonzalez; along with several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Jose was preceded in death by his grandfather Mariano; his cousin Carlos and his uncle Antonio.

Jose nació el 15 de febrero de 1991 a Juan Castillo y a Lidia Zapata. Jose vivió en Allende Coahuila, México, hasta los 11 años. En 2002 su familia se mudó a Salado, Texas, donde su padre estaba trabajando. Jose atendía la escuela en Salado y se graduó en 2009. 

 

El amaba los deportes; jugó fútbol americano, ​​fútbol, ​​béisbol y baloncesto. Los fines de semana podrías encontrarlo apoyando a su equipo de fútbol favorito, Club Santos Lagunas si estaban jugando.

 

Jose nunca conoció a un extraño para el. El era una persona muy amable, siempre ayudando a otros. 

 

Jose trabajó en jardinería y como electricista para Bloomers Trailers aquí en Salado.

 

El 12 de marzo de 2020 falleció por causas naturales. Deja a su padre, Juan Castillo, a su madre Lidia Zapata y a 2 hermanos menores, Juan y Edgar Castillo, a los que adoraba. Jose quería mucho a su familia.

 

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a sus abuelos Tomas Castillo, Rosa Rivas y Bertha Gonzalez; junto con varios tíos, tías y primos. 

 

Jose fue precedido en la muerte por su abuelo Mariano; su primo Carlos y su tío Antonio.
