John Calvin Curlee, Jr.

John Curlee was born on June 11, 1965, in Kerrville, Texas, to John and Arlette Curlee. It is with profound sadness that we announce his passing on January 30th, 2024.

He was born in Kerrville, Texas and grew up there instilled with a deep love for God, his family and the outdoors. He later moved to Salado and Belton and attended schools there, finally settling in Granger Texas. John's life was marked by so many joyous milestones, including the birth of two children. He later joined hearts in marriage with Lisa Linderman on July 5, 1997, adding two more children to further enrich his life with love and companionship.

He worked in the construction field most of his life, eventually owning his own construction company along with his wife, and he felt blessed to work side by side with her every day. John also found great joy in fishing, golf, hunting, old cars, trucks, and boats. His passion for nature was paralleled only by his dedication to his faith, family and friends. He was the epitome of hard work, love, and care.

John took every opportunity to share his love for Christ. He touched numerous lives with his warmth, generosity, and radiant spirit. As we bid him farewell, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart generously loved.

He was preceded in death by his Parents John and Arlette, his grandparents Dave and Rosa Curlee, Cecil and Johnnie Greer, and his father-in-law James Linderman.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Curlee; four children, Kristin Young (Jerrod), Quentin Curlee (Amanda), Joshua DeLong (Betty), and Justine DeLong (Frank). Grandchildren include Collin Young, Aubrey, Gracie & Riley Curlee, Christian & Maximus DeLong. He was also survived by his sisters, Angela Kay (Bryan) and Salena McGregor; brothers, Shawn Curlee (Beth), Jeffery Linderman (Paula), and Joey Connelly (Christine). Mother-in-law Jean Linderman, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to share their memories of John during visitation on Tuesday, February 6th, from 1-2 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 4010 Williams Dr., Georgetown, TX. The funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at 2 pm. Interment service will follow at the Salado Cemetery, located at 1109 Baines Dr., Salado TX.
