Jack Danil Evans Obituary

Jack Daniel Evans was born to Johnie Calvin Evans and Geraldine Brown Evans on November 20, 1941, in Leon Junction, Texas.  He died on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in a nursing home in Harker Heights, TX.


Jack graduated from Salado High School in 1960.  He then attended Texas State University.  On August 24, 1962, Jack married Weeta Sue Holland.  They raised two daughters in Salado, Texas. 


Jack and Weeta just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.


Jack worked in education from 1962 to 1970.  He then went into the business world as a business manager for several different companies.  His last years of employment were with Central Texas College.


Jack is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Allen Evans.  He is survived by his wife, Weeta; daughters: Angelyn Schuster of Salado, TX, and Erika Kennedy and husband Jack of Duncanville, TX., five grandchildren: Michael Madison of St. Louis, MO, Robert Schuster of Salado, TX, Loren Schuster of Orlando, FL, Keith Touchon of New Braunfels, TX, Dylan Touchon and wife Aaliyah of Fort Worth, TX. Two great granddaughters: Andreya and Evelyn Touchon; brother, Barry Evans of Florence, TX.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salado Cemetery Association or a charity of your choice.


 Services will be held at Salado United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with visitation at 11:00 am and the service to follow. Tommy Prud’homme officiating.
