Services for Helen Wujick, 85 will be private.


Helen died August 14, 2013 at her home in Salado. She was born January 24, 1928 to Wassel and Kathrin Praskavich. She grew up in a small Pennsylvania town where she worked in the local drug store after school.


She and her husband Albert were married June 26, 1952 in Belle Vernon, Pa. They had 4 children which she cared for during Albert’s relocations as a private pilot. They spent 4 years in West Virginia, 5years in Cleveland, Oh. at the corporate headquarters. 12 years were spent in Lexington, Ky. and 2 years in Connecticut before moving to Dallas.


In 2000 she and Albert retired and moved to Salado. Here hobbies were needlepoint, making pictures, Christmas Santa’s and many gifts for the family. She collected fabric from wherever she was for her many projects.


An avid reader here favorites were romance novels and history.


Helen was a first born American with Russian Orthodox parents. She prided herself in being a strong disciplinarian. She loved to make cookies for all seasons, particularly Russian cookies at Christmas time.


Helen is preceded by her parents and son Doug.


Helen is survived by her husband, son Bruce from CT., daughter Laurie from Dallas and Mary from Cincinnati, OH. She had 2 grandchildren.
