Gordon L. “Pee Wee” Brisbin, age 87, died Wednesday, August 21, at his home in Holland, TX. Services will be at 11:00AM Monday, August 26 at the Holland Cemetery with Rev. Randy Evans, pastor First Baptist Church and Rev. Larry O’Neal officiating. A visitation will be from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday, August 25 at Broecker Funeral Home, Salado.

Pee Wee was born September 3, 1925 in Joe Lee, Bell Co., TX. to Chancie and Beatrice Brisbin. He grew up in Bell County and married Wilma Dean Burns in Vilas, June 9, 1946. After moving to Houston and Texas City for a short time they returned to Holland and have lived there for 65 years

Pee Wee was a very accomplished mechanic, working for Beach and Harding, then Harding Auto and subsequently Temple Lincoln Mercury for 43 years.

He was always active in the community, being a member of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department, SPJST Lodge 80 and American Legion Post 526. He was on the city council of Holland as well as mayor for a number of years. He was a trustee of the Holland ISD.

Pee Wee was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Holland.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Julie Brisbin Johnson and son-in-law Wilson of College Station, one grandson, Matthew Johnson of Austin and sisters Nelda Seifert, Colleyville and Wynona Cassimir Temple.
