Donald Dady Obituary

Donald Leslie Dady, 88, of Temple, TX entered into the very presence of God on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was born on September 18, 1933 to Harry and Jane Dady in Santa Ana, CA. Don accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and took Proverbs 3:5-6 as his life verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”  Don put his trust in the Lord and the faithfulness of God was unmistakable all throughout his life!

Don was blessed with a large and loving family.  He married his best friend and sweetheart, Virginia Lee Amrine Dady, on May 30, 1954 in Santa Ana, California, where they began raising their four children until moving to Houston in 1971.

Don and Virginia helped establish Cypress Bible Church in Cypress, TX where he served as an Elder for many years.  In 1993, Don and Virginia moved to Austin where they continued serving the Lord while attending Hill Country Bible Church.  In 2012, they relocated to Temple and immediately got involved at Temple Bible Church.

Loving God and serving others has been the story of Don’s life.  Don is survived by his wife, Virginia and their four children: Curtis (and wife, Elaine) Dady of Houston, TX; Philip (and wife, Rene) Dady of Salado, TX; Anna Jenifer (and husband, Elias Darryl) Winburne of Hanover, VA; and Steven Dady of Brentwood, TN.  Don was also very involved in the lives of his 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom are so grateful for the many special memories he made with them.

A memorial service for Don will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Temple Bible Church, 3205 Oakview Drive, Temple, TX 76502, followed by a mercy meal.  The service will be livestreamed for those who are not able to attend: https://livestream.com/accounts/12485765/events/10464615
