Don was born in Cairo, Missouri on May 1, 1945, to Donald and Betty Creed. He was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work at an early age. After graduating Moberly High School in 1963, he started working for the Walbash Rail Road. In 1967, he was drafted into the United States Army to serve in the Vietnam War. Don’s decorations, medals, commendations, citations, and campaign ribbons awarded include the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Marksman (Rifle), Expert (M-60), and Sharpshooter (Rifle). After departing service with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas in 1969, Don started his own framing construction business in Florence, Texas. In 1998, he married his wife, Karen Creed.

Don was a family man and a great Dad….with a lesson to learn in everything. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. He loved horses, team roping, working cattle, and gardening. He was an expert in all he did with no shortage of lessons to teach…..ask any young man that’s ever hauled hay for him.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Creed and his brother Ronnie Creed.
