Services for David Wayne Rickard, 50, of Holland, TX will be Friday, June 3, 2022, 10:00 am, at 3C Cowboy Fellowship in Salado with pastor Bryan Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery,

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 2, 2022, 6:00 to 8:00pm, at Broecker Funeral Home in Salado, TX.

David passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2022. He was born January 18, 1972, in Jacksonville, FL to Wade Eugene Rickard and Carolyn Elaine Allen. Most of his life was spent growing up in the mountains of Swannanoa, NC.

He met the love of his life, Dawn Rickard, on Thanksgiving of 1983 and they were married shortly afterwards in April 1984.

David had a huge heart and always did his best to help others as he could. He was all about family, but he was most proud of his son, Zachary Rickard.

David was preceded in death by his Father, Wade Rickard Sr.; his brother, Wade Rickard, Jr.; and his daughter, Chaddoe Rickard. He leaves behind by his wife, Dawn Rickard; son, Zachary Rickard and wife Emily; mother, Carolyn Hill; brothers: Larry Rickard and wife Kristen, Steven Rickard and wife Samantha; sisters: Teresa Rickard, Vickie Cosby, Xenia Hill and husband Colby Schiller, and 2 grandchildren: Braylee and Kailor.

David was a huge part of our lives and he will be forever missed.
