Dale Gary Christiansen Obituary

Dale Gary Christiansen was born on September 7, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to Dale Donavan Christiansen and Esperanza Christiansen. 


He grew up in Monrovia, a suburb of Los Angeles. He graduated from California State University with a B.A. in Police Science and Administration. Dale always wanted to be in police work.  While awaiting acceptance to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, he worked briefly for the Los Angeles Fire Department fighting forest fires.


Early in his police career, while working patrol, he was drafted by the Army and spent 2 years as an MP in Panama during the Vietnam war. Dale spent  the majority of his career as a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Homicide Investigator. 


In 1969 he met Isabel Perez while they were both working at the East L.A. station. They were married June 13, 1970. They had 3 children, Ann-Marie, Melanie Ann, and Eileen Dale. 


He is preceded in death by his father, mother and daughter Ann-Marie.  Dale is survived by his devoted wife Isabel, daughters: Melanie Stalder and Eileen Curtis, Grandchildren, Rose and Ezra Curtis and son-in-law, Ric Curtis.
