Conita Gail (Clayton) Cabaniss Obituary

Conita Gail (Clayton) Cabaniss was born on Dec 6, 1941, just a day before Pearl Harbor was bombed and our nation went to war. She was born to Lemuel Vergil and Beatrice Clayton in Gorman, Texas. She was always proud to have been the Drill Team Captain of the Stephenville High School Stingerettes! After graduating, she attended Tarleton University. She married and had two children, Dax Evan Allison of Ft. Worth and Alix Allison Biondo of Spring. She relocated to Irving and then Richardson, Texas after marrying Marvin Ballard Cabaniss in 1988. She was in insurance her entire career, last working for Marsh McClellan in Dallas and enjoyed retirement in Waco.  After a long, hard battle with Alzheimer’s, she passed peacefully in her sleep on August 25,2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband. She loved God, her family, painting, writing, all things Texas, yellow roses, small country towns, making wedding cakes, gag gifting and witty sarcastic come backs. The family she leaves behind includes:

Son: Dax

Daughter: Alix and son- in- law Joey Biondo and grandchildren Caleb Joseph (16) and twin girls Sydney Gail and Samantha Ann (13)

Brother and sister-in-law G.L. & Judy Clayton of Granbury, Dusty and Debbie Clayton of Boerne

Many nieces and nephews as well as two step-daughters with children and grandchildren.

She will be missed but never forgotten.
