Services for William N. C. Culbertson will be Sunday July 10 at 3:00 PM at the Historic Chapel at the Salado United Methodist Church, Salado. Officiating will be Pastor Lara Whitley Franklin.
William N.C. Culbertson was born to Hallie & Clyde Culbertson Sr., on May 3, 1948 in Rock Hill, SC. He passed away at his home in Salado on June 28,2016 surrounded by his family After graduating from high school he earned a PhD by the age of 25 from the University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill. He married Carol Briggs June 13,1986 Been a Salado resident for 20 years 1993-1995 Was a volunteer police officer in Roeland Park, Kansas Member of the Masonic Lodge for 25 years Member of United Methodist Church in Salado Volunteered for as many projects his schedule could hold for the United Methodist church. Including; “The Texas ramp project”. He served in the Army for 30 years. Retired as a Colonel. After his Military service he went to work for the Department of the Army as a Training Analyst and retired this year (2016) He authored the first instructional manual for the Department of Defense National Simulations Center. Surviving Family: Wife- Carol Culbertson of Salado, TX Daughter- Shannonn Culbertson-Bennett of Temple, TX Son- Shawn Culbertson of Georgetown, TX Grandchildren- Saige Culbertson, Nate Culbertson, Trent Culbertson, Lainey Culbertson all from Georgetown, TX Brother- Clyde (Bud) Culbertson Jr., of Buford, NC Brother- Tom Culbertson of Omaha, NE In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
