Charles Woodson King, 90, died peacefully on March 14, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on November 14, 1934, in Morrison, Tennessee to Warren and Gladys (Miles)
King. His family moved to Belton, Texas, where he attended school.
Charles married his wife Patsy Ruth (Bizzell Wattenbarger) King in 1962, they resided in Belton
for 17 years, then became residents of Troy for 41 years. Widowed, Charles moved to Temple
in 2022.
He owned King Distribution and then C. W. King trucking for over 50 years.
Charles was a member of the Johnson Drive Church of Christ in McGregor, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, his parents, two brothers, two daughters, a
granddaughter and a grandson.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Peter Heald of Temple; son, Jimmy
Wattenbarger of Frankfort, Kentucky; daughter Patricia Olsen of Temple, TX; sister Joyce Arnold
of Kennard; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
The graveside service will be on Saturday, March 22, 2025, ll:00am, at Salado Historic
Cemetery with Billy Wilson presiding.
