Brunhilde Dirk, 76, of Temple, passed away on Friday, October 18th due to a brief illness.

Brunhilde was bom on December 12, 1948 in Berlin Germany,, the daughter of Hedwig Marie Josephine Troester and Hans Drolshagen.

At the age of 12, she emigrated to the United States with her mother where together they made a new life. She worked for many years in the restaurant industry and hospitality was her craft. From 1988-1996, she owned and operated Cafe Berlin, a German restaurant in Boonsboro, MD. She was a lover of all animals, but most of all her dogs- She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Brunhilde is survived by her three children Michael Kendig, Tobias Riechel, and Mona Thomas. She also leaves behind sister Renate Frostad, nieces Sylvia Greenan and Angie Sharpe-Westbrooks, nephews Daniel and David Sharpe as well as several grandchildren, grand nieces grand nephews and her treasured pup, Lexie-

She was preceded in death by husband Thomas Lee Dirk, son James E. Kendig Ill, mother Hedwig Marie Josephine Troester, Father Hans Drolshagen, and sister Barbara Lebowsli
