– Services for Berthe (Betty) Antoinette Cotton, 82, of Salado will be at Resthaven Cemetery, 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 20, 2014 with Rev. Lara Whitley-Franklin officiating. A visitation will be held at Broecker Funeral Home, Salado, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Cotton died Sunday, March 16 at her home in the presence of relatives and friends.

Betty was born January 13, 1932 in Troyes, France to Marceau and Adrienne Raudin. She married Cecil Cotton in Troyes on April 30, 1958 while he was in the service. When they returned to the US, they settled in Texas where they remained married for 46 years before Cecil died.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She spent most of her young married life taking care of her 5 children and husband. She started cleaning homes when the children got older and took a lot of pride in her work.

Betty loved to watch movies, play bingo and dominos, but her favorite pastime was her family gatherings with many grand and great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her father and mother and husband.

She is survived by her sister Monique Meyer and husband of Germany, two sons: Phillip Cotton and Wife Yvonne, David Cotton and wife Tanya of Belton: three daughters: Jeanette Potter and Husband Kevin of Gatesville, Darlene Cosper and husband Michael of Salado and Caroline Smith of Belton. She had 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Services are in the care of Broecker Funeral Home, Salado.
