Services for Barbarito Ruben Lopez Jr. will be Friday, June 2, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Killeen, TX with Rev. Gerardo Uribe officiating.
Mr. Lopez died on Tuesday, May 27 at his residence in Temple. He was born in Edinburg, TX to Barbarito
Lopez St. and Isabel Lopez on October 13, 2023. A retired Master Sergeant, he served in the US Army
from 1979 to 1990. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army
Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (9 th award), National Defense
Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze stars.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Tenorio Lopez; son, Jose Lopez; daughter Lizett Lopez
Harris; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
The visitation will be Thursday, June 1 from 5:00 – 7:00 at Broecker Funeral Home in Salado. Please sign
