Armandina G. Mares passed away peacefully on 12/21/25 at the age of 91 years. She was born on January 12,1935 in Laredo, TX to Flavio Gonzalez and Petra Carrillo. She is now eternally resting with our Father after enduring many years with dementia. She is now reunited with her husband, Adolfo S. Mares and her daughter, Maryanne Mares Herrera. She will also join her parents and siblings, Margarita Martinez, Julia Olvera, Raul Gonzalez, and Alicia G. Hernandez. Her legacy lives on in her son, Adolph Mares Jr. MD and wife Yolanda Cortes Mares, with whom she resided in Salado, TX during most of her last 7 years of life, and her five grandchildren Leslie Anne Mares, Alexandra Raquel Mares, Karina Katelyn Herrera, Marc Stephen Herrera, and Kayna Kathryn Herrera. She is also survived by her brother Pablo Gonzales and his wife Carmen, as well as many nephews and nieces. She cherished her many years of employment serving others and enjoyed her retirement watching westerns and sharing memories of her youth.
