Arline Singer Obituary


Arline Singer, 85, of The Woodlands, Texas. Passed away March 19, 2015. She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on November 7, 1929. Arline graduated from Wauwatosa, High School and attended the University of Wisconsin where she studied interior decorating. She married Robert Joseph Singer on September 16, 1950.

Arline was president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the National Association of Home Builders and worked as a decorator for TomSinger Construction until 1968 when she and her family moved to Mexico. Later in life she was an integral staff member at the Salado Veterinary Clinic where she comforted many pet lovers during loss using her training as a grief counselor.


She had a passion for Jesus, and all God’s creation especially dogs and giraffes. She was an avid reader and Scrabble player. At the time of her death she was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church, The Woodlands, Texas.


Arline was preceded in death by her father, Robert Christian Gallenbeck, mother Irma F. Arlitt Gallenbeck, and husband Robert Joseph Singer.


She is survived by her son Jeffery Robert Singer and his wife Sandra, her daughter Victoria Singer Salcedo and husband Juan and grandchildren Juan Jose Salcedo, Kristin Waybright, Andrew Singer, and Samantha Salcedo.


Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 am, March 21, 2015 at Forest Park The Woodlands, Texas with interment at the Salado Cemetery in Salado, Texas at 2:00 pm, March 22, 2015. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Arline’s honor to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
