Wanda Williams

Services for Wanda Williams, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of Harker Heights, located at 2314 Indian Trail.   Viewing will be at the Church on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Mrs. Williams was born February 24, 1937, in Zavalla, to William R. and Anna Lee Womack. She grew up in Angelina County and graduated from Zavalla High School. She was a licensed Beautician and obtained a Degree from Massey Business College. Mrs. Williams worked as a secretary for several years and kept books for G & M Timber Co. Upon retirement, she worked as a Teacher and Office Assistant at Discovery Learning Center. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and preparing the favorite dishes for her family’s birthdays. She loved children, had a special attachment to the “baby” of the moment, and had a way of making each of her children and grandchildren feel special.   

. She met the love of her life, Willie Gene Williams, at the skating rink and the two were married July 6, 1956. Together they had four children, to which she passed down her love for God, faithfulness to church, and caring for others. 

Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gene Williams. She is survived by her four children, Mike and wife Kathy Williams of Nacogdoches, Rhonda Wright of Harker Heights, Debbie and husband Robert Hendrick of Salado, David Williams of Georgetown; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Simon and wife Ada Womack of Lufkin, Bill Womack of Buffalo, and Medford Womack of Jasper; two sisters, Chloe Spencer of Nacogdoches; Margarite and husband Ken Fratt of Allen; and other relatives and friends all across Texas.
