Sandra Kay Walker, 74, of Salado, died June 12, 2018 at a local nursing home.
Visitation for Mrs. Walker will be at Broecker Funeral Home, Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Historic Salado Cemetery, Salado.
Mrs. Walker was born August 5, 1943 to George Elmer Adams and Minnie Mae Turland inSalado, Texas. She was a life long resident of Salado.
After getting her deploma from Salado High School, Sandra went to work at the Salado Grocery Store. She then met her husband, Robert and they were married June 16, 1958.
She continued to work outside the home at Schigut Department Store, Belton and Bear Hugs Learning Center in Belton.
Mrs. Walker raised 4 children and is best known for her hot lunches and cold tea delivered to her husband and sons who were working in the fields.
She is preced by her parents, son, Robert Glenn Walker, two brothers, and daughter in law.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Michael and Mark and daughter Sheva Brooks.
