Jack Edward Allen

Jack E. Allen died November 8, 2018 at a hospital in Round Rock. 

Jack was born February 12, 1934 in Kosse, Texas in Falls County to James RL and Alverta Allen.  After graduation, Jack joined the US Army and served with distinction for 2 years achieving the rank of corporal.  Jack attended Stephen F. Austin, Bryan and University of Texas, Arlington.

In 1953, Jack married Sylvia Smith at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor  

Jack was an outgoing person who became an excellent salesman most of his life.  He retired after spending over 18 years with Karman (Roper) Shirt Company, traveling all over the south. His love for the cowboy lifestyle encouraged many to join the rodeo as well as becoming some of the best dressed cowboys around.

In 1987 Jack and Sylvia moved to Salado to become part time ranchers.  Sylvia managed the ranch and business while Jack was on the road.

Sylvia preceded Jack in death in 2014.  Survivors include 2 sons, Jeff of Forney, Texas and Mitch of San Antonio, Texas.

Services for Jack E. Allen of Salado, Texas will be Tuesday, November 20 at 1:00 PM at the 3C Cowboy Fellowship at 16258 Gooseneck Rd. Salado Texas 76571.

Services are in the care of Broecker Funeral Home, Salado.
