Carmen Gonzales was born on June 18, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Carmen Medina Falcon. She passed away peacefully on December 7, 2018 surrounded by her family at Indian Oaks Living Center, Harker Heights, Texas.
Carmen was a wonderful mother, working tirelessly to make sure that her 4 children were raised and successful. She was a devoted Catholic, who loved to color, football, dance, listen to Spanish soap operas, read, shop and clean house. She loved HOT Tabasco filled food.
She worked for 18 years for Luby’s before moving to Salado to be with her youngest daughter Cathleen Spradlin and her husband to help care for five of her grandchildren.
Carmen developed Alzheimer’s in 2004.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Medina Falcon, brother Joe Falcon and niece Roxanne Elmore.
Survivors include daughters Darlene Mason of Lake Jackson, Texas, Vicki Gonzales of Lake Jackson, Texas, Cathleen Spradlin and her husband Kirk of Salado, Texas, Nicky Gonzales and wife Marcey of Lake Jackson, Texas, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the management and staff of Indian Oaks Living Center who so generously and lovingly cared for Mrs. Gonzales over 14 years.
