Memorial Services  for Kenneth Lee Kreinheder, 72 of Holland, Texas will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 5:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M.  at Kuhlmann Civic Center, 107 West Travis, Holland, Texas . The service will begin at 6:00 P. M., with Jay Thomas, officiating and presentation of Military Honors.

Kenneth passed away October 17, 2017 at his residence, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Kenneth was born January 5, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska.  He grew up on a farm in Hastings, Nebraska and attended and graduated from Hastings High School.  He joined the United States Air Force April 20, 1965.  Served his country till October 30, 1968, as a jet engine mechanic.  Joined Air Force reserves till his honorable discharge April 19, 1971.  Worked for Texas Instruments in Austin and Temple for 28 years till his retirement in 2000.

Ken served his community as a Holland Volunteer Firemen and first responder for the Holland Fire Department.

Ken married Paula Kennard on May 2, 1969 in Austin, Texas They moved to Holland from Pflugervile, Texas in 1978. 

He was the son of a farmer, a husband, father and grandfather – He was a wonderful person.

Survivors include his wife, Paula, son Paul and wife Samantha of Holland, son John and fiance Colleen of Holland.  Three grandsons, John Jr., Kenny, and Christopher. 

Kenneth is also survived by a sister Linda Smith and husband Wayne of Lincoln, Nebraska, brother Kevin Kreinheder of Hastings, Nebraska.  Brother – in –law Kenny Hunter of Denton, Nebraska.  Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Family friend Danny and Jana Johnson of Temple.

Preceded in death by his parents Paul and Viola Kreinheder, Brother Gary, Sister Gloria, Sister in-law Amber, and aunts and uncles.

Instead of flowers, memorial may be made to the Holland VFD at P O Box 326, Holland, Texas   76534
